About the Author
Anthony Carilli is Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Study of Political Economy at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. He earned an M.A. and Ph.D. from Northeastern University. He serves on the editorial board of the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics. He is on the Board of Scholars for the Virginia Institute of Public Policy and the Society for Development of Austrian Economics. He is a member of the FEE Faculty Network.
Research interests: rural firefighting, NASCAR, social capital, Austrian business cycle theory, and monetary regimes.
