About the Author
Raheem Williams is an active economist who has worked for numerous liberty-based academic research centers and think-tanks. He received his B.A. in economics at Florida International University and his M.A. in financial economics from the University of Detroit Mercy. He is the founder of “The Policy,” a forum that promotes public policy dialogue across socio-economic levels.
What inspired you to start writing?
I feel the press is dominated by left of center voices that often misrepresent the principles of freedom. The only way to change this is to write often.
What are your hobbies / interests?
My radio show is my hobby. It doesn’t pay but it’s fun to do.
Who are your personal heroes?
Thomas Sowell, Walter E. Williams & Frederick Douglass.
How did you discover the freedom philosophy?
I was a Koch Fellow in 2014, I applied jokingly and walked away with a different view of the world.
