In 2017, only 10 of the top 100 new movies were actually made in California. According to the Hollywood Reporter, more films were shot in the UK, Canada, and the state of Georgia.
When Hollywood first got started, it was a free and open market... but now, it's one of the most restricted places to do business in America.
