About the Author
What inspired you to start writing?
The summer of 2018 was a transformative time period for me. During that summer, I attended Mises University, an economics seminar in Auburn. My interactions with the many brilliant scholars made me want to follow a path of scholarship myself. It was the scholarly manifesto of Dr. Walter Block that appealed to me, i.e., come up with the craziest ideas, and distill them reasonably until a good end product follows. At the seminar, I also met an editor at 71republic.com, who wanted to bring me on board as a writer. To see other high schoolers (I was a rising high school senior at the time) running a website of such stature instantly inspired me to get published myself. From there, I've found my way to other platforms, including Mises.org, and Fee.org.
What are your hobbies / interests?
My interests in journalism, philosophy, legal theory, ethics, foundations of rights, political science, history, and economics take up a good chunk of my time. I have a great passion for entrepreneurship, marketing, and logistics, a path I plan on pursuing in the future. Music also takes up another large chunk of my interests. I am a guitar player of over 6 years, listening to music ranging from instrumental rock, to surf rock, to metal, to Turkish folk. I also have a great interest in engineering and mathematics, particularly calculus. I am pursuing my degree in electrical engineering at Florida State University.
